Accomodations

Accomodations

options

boothbay harbor is a small town and a popular summer destination so please book accommodations as early as possible. please also note that spruce point inn and rocktide are currently closed for the season so it may take their reservation departments a few days to get back to you.

A). spruce point inn offers lots of amenities (salt water swimming pool, kayaks, bikes, hiking trails, a smores pit, spa, game room, a boat launch or van that will take you and yours into boothbay harbor, tennis, golf access, etc.) and is puppy friendly so this is where gusgus will be staying.

you'll see on their website that there are number of different room options (including guest moorings if you want to stay on a boat!) for a variety of prices (starting at $337 a night). please note that there is a three night minimum on rooms (6 nights for cottages).

to book, please contact Cindy Poe, reservations manager, at cpoe@sprucepointinn.com or by calling reservations at 800.553.0289. just be sure to tell her you are with “Goldenthal / Ho-Walker.” please do not use the online reservation system, as it requires a minimum stay of 4 nights (unless of course you'd like to stay that long!)

upon booking you will be charged for two nights towards your stay (the room rate before taxes and the resort fee). in the event that you need to cancel your reservation, please be advised that there is a small charge.

B). we also have a room block at the rocktide inn. rocktide inn is about a 5 minute drive to spruce point inn and walkable to downtown boothbay harbor by crossing the nearby footbridge. we will be providing transportation to and from the ceremony and reception from here. with the wedding discount, the rooms range from $126 to $211 plus tax for friday and saturday nights. if you come up earlier or stay later, the rates go up by 10%.  rates include breakfast and wifi.

reservations can be reached at rocktide@rocktideinn.com or 800-762-8433, again just tell them you are with "Goldenthal / Ho-Walker."

C). there are a number of cute b&bs in the area. check out:
atlantic ark inn
bayberry house
bayside inn
blue heron seaside inn
greenleaf inn
harborage inn
harbor house inn
harbor towne inn
the thistle inn
topside inn
welch house inn
if you decide to stay at one of these and would like assistance with transportation to the ceremony and home from the reception,
please let us know so we can help

D). it is also possible to rent a house near spruce point inn so if that is something you are interested in, please let us know!

The closest airport is Portland International Jetport (PWM), which is about an hour and 15 mins drive (with no traffic, which of course, there is likely to be as its peak season) to Spruce Point.

  • From the Portland area, get on I-295 North / US-1 North.
  • About 2 miles after passing through the village of Wiscasset (home to Red's Eats, known for being one of the best lobster rolls in the state, so stop and see what that big line is all about!), take ME-27 south to Boothbay Harbor
